My Story

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and holds a MSc in Counselling from the University of the West Indies, and a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Brock University. I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP).

I  have worked in the mental health field for the past 28 years in a variety of settings. I have provided counselling with children, adolescents and adults working through transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, loss, depression, emotional and physical abuse. In so doing, I have helped my clients work towards their goals and sought to improve their quality of life, with a strong interest in holistic healing. I have also worked internationally in varied cultural settings and has a strong appreciation for diversity, having benefitted from exposure to a wide range of cultural issues and lived experiences.

Over the years I have found that practicing an Integrative, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioural design with Mindfulness techniques has played an integral role in supporting her clients. This allows modifying their emotional and behavioural patterns and challenging limiting beliefs.

In my practice I strive to create a warm, compassionate, therapeutic experience that is safe, supportive and culturally inclusive for all individuals. Interface is personalized, structured, reinforcing and aimed to allow personal growth and comfort.

During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, going for walks in nature settings, gardening, travel and watching movies.

I look forward to working with you and addressing your needs.
