Pre Natal Massage
Pregnancy is a transformative journey, but it can also bring physical discomfort and emotional stress. Here, at The Root of Health, we offer prenatal massage therapy to help expectant mothers feel their best during this special time. Our safe, nurturing, and personalized approach is designed to support your body and mind as you prepare for the arrival of your little one.

What is Prenatal Massage?
Prenatal massage is a specialized form of massage therapy tailored to the unique needs of pregnant women. It focuses on relieving the common discomforts of pregnancy while promoting relaxation and overall well-being. Our licensed therapists are trained in prenatal care and use techniques that ensure both you and your baby are safe and comfortable.

During your session, you’ll be positioned in a way that accommodates your changing body—typically side-lying or supported with pillows. This allows you to relax fully while receiving the care you need.

Why Choose Prenatal Massage?
Pregnancy can bring a range of physical and emotional challenges, from back pain and swelling to stress and fatigue. Prenatal massage is a natural, non-invasive way to address these issues and support your health during this important time. Here’s why so many expectant mothers choose prenatal massage:
Health Benefits of Prenatal Massage
-
Relieves Aches and Pains:
As your body changes, you may experience back pain, hip pain, or joint stiffness. Prenatal massage helps ease these discomforts by targeting tense muscles and improving flexibility. -
Reduces Swelling:
Pregnancy often causes swelling in the hands, feet, and legs due to reduced circulation. Massage encourages better blood flow, helping to reduce fluid retention. -
Eases Muscle Tension:
The weight of your growing baby can strain your muscles, particularly in the lower back and shoulders. Prenatal massage helps release tension, promoting greater comfort. -
Improves Sleep:
Many pregnant women struggle with sleep due to discomfort or stress. Massage promotes relaxation, helping you rest more deeply. -
Reduces Stress and Anxiety:
Pregnancy can be an emotionally overwhelming time. Prenatal massage lowers stress hormones like cortisol while boosting feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine. -
Prepares Your Body for Labour:
By relaxing your muscles and improving circulation, prenatal massage can help your body prepare for the physical demands of labor and delivery.

Is Prenatal Massage Safe?
