My Story

Hello and welcome! I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). I have had the privilege of listening to individuals’ stories for over 15 years, providing counseling and psychotherapy in a variety of therapeutic settings including community mental health.

My style is calm, non-confrontational, and gentle, and my skills lie in listening for what has not yet been said, and in holding space for possibilities that might bring new perspective to your experience. I aim to create a warm and compassionate therapeutic relationship that is affirming and inclusive.

My expertise includes supporting individuals who experience anxiety, depression, and low self esteem issues. I also have expertise in supporting individuals as they find meaning during life transitions or through seasons of grief and loss.

I hold a Master of Health Studies from Athabasca University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in both Psychology and English. My undergraduate studies also included a joint program with Seneca College, with a certificate in Rehabilitation Services. I maintain an ongoing commitment to developing my skills and professionalism, and have attended additional training and ongoing education with a focus in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness approaches, and in brief interventions such as Single Session Therapy.

Together we can figure out what might be getting in the way of the life you want to live – whether it is emotional pain you may be carrying, or specific struggles that you might be experiencing. My goal is to journey with you as you move towards a deeper understanding of your story and to a sense of peace and connection.

Presently I am offering virtual individual psychotherapy to adults. I know that choosing a therapist is a very personal matter – and I am available for a free consultation to answer any questions you may have, and to see if my style or this format would be a good fit for you.
