Experience the difference of Osteopathic Manual Treatment!
Traditional Osteopathy is a system of manual medicine that focuses on restoring proper function to the entire body by ensuring the healthy interaction between the various tissues and systems of the body. Practitioners seek to address the cause of the pain or dysfunction, not just the area in which it presents, and are reliant on a detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.
Manual Osteopathy utilizes a gentle hands-on approach that includes structural (bone and joint), myofascial (muscle and fascia), visceral (organ), and cranial-sacral approaches to care. Traditional Osteopathic philosophy demands that the body be addressed as an integrated unit, and as such the goal of treatment is to restore the natural, healthy integrated state of structures within, while respecting all components of the patient.
Osteopathic Manual Treatment can address all body systems and tissues to resolve the root cause of pain or dysfunction. It is safe, effective and gentle – a proven form of treatment for people of all ages and stages.

Please be aware that there are two distinct groups of health care professionals that practice osteopathic health care in Ontario: Osteopathic Manual Practitioners and Osteopathic Physicians (or simply, Osteopaths). Please note that in Ontario, Osteopathic Manual Practitioners are not Osteopathic Physicians (who are graduates of an American medical school, and those practicing in Ontario are members of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario).
