Acupuncture under Registered Massage Therapy
Under registered massage, acupuncture services may only include acupuncture
for the treatment of pain or dysfunction that involves muscles, tendons, ligaments or soft tissues.
Sarah practices as a Registered Massage Therapist with a focus on Eastern styles of massage. Japanese Shiatsu and Chinese Tuina Massage, although different theoretically than Western massage, accomplishes the same results by manipulating the soft tissues of the body and increasing blood circulation. Sarah has been practicing Shiatsu since 1993, and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2004. Shiatsu Massage, applies gentle thumb, finger, or elbow pressure to channels of energy that run throughout the body. Tuina Massage utilizes a variety of light energetic or more vigorous circulatory techniques, coupled with the deep slow pressure-point work of Shiatsu to relax muscles, increase the flow of Qi and blood, and relieve tension and pain. Other modalities that Sarah may incorporate into her treatments include; Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy, Cupping, Moxibustion, or Acupuncture (ONLY for the relief of muscular pain and dysfunction).
Intuitive Healing Sessions
As a Reiki Master and teacher since 2007, Sarah has come to understand the power of healing with energy and intent. She has developed an intuitive approach to healing which may include a number of modalities from informal Intuitive Coaching, teaching Meditation and Body Awareness, Breathwork, Native Smudging, Crystal Healing using both Chakras and Meridians, and Intuitive Readings. Sarah is a Certified Angel Card Reader (C.A.C.R.). As a Canadian of Aboriginal descent, Sarah places emphasis on spiritual life as an important key to healing. We are a soul that comes into this body for the experience of a lifetime! Intuitive Healing provides a space within which we can heal emotions, gain clarity, grow and allow BEING in.
*Note that Intuitive Healing Sessions are not covered by either Registered Massage Therapy, they are a completely stand-alone service.
